You're a "Stand Up" Card!

My upline gave me some short instructions on how to put together this cute stand up card.  It's so easy breezy!!  I used our new Stella paper line and the simple yet elevant Adore stamp set from the Close To My Heart Spring/Summer 2012 Catalog.

Sorry for the quality of the photo!  I'm working on that!

Here's a side view so you can see how the card folds up and bumps against the panel at the bottom that's been pop-dotted to give it some height.  Adorable!!

Check out our Dotty for You! Paper Pack that's on special this month!  It's very fun and festive and just in time for National Scrapbook Month!

Beautiful Wedding Layout

My BFF and I were married 15 years ago.  I have to say that my Mr. Wonderful (my pet name for him) has been a such a blessing to me.  We have a great family and he's our rock.

After much thinking, I decided to rip apart our wedding album that I put our proofs in approximately 13 years ago.  All professional photos were 8x10 so of course I had to put them in a 12x12 album!  Well, needless to say my old album is in pieces but I made a gorgeous layout of various wedding pictures.

The first thing I did was scan in the photos I wanted to use (and some extras just in case), sepia them, and then print on 4x6 paper.

I used the Bliss paper pack from CTMH (my new favorite paper line!), MS brown satin ribbon, and tons of blingage from Stampin UP!
(Please do not look at my feet -- it's very difficult to take a good picture of a layout without getting some unwanted in the picture!!)

Our wedding song was "Grow Old Along with Me" written by John Lennon and sung by Mary Chapin Carpenter.  It is a beautiful song and it fit us to a tee!!
(Again, disregard blue feet at bottom of photo!!)

I entered this layout in a "Use Song Lyrics in a Layout" Challenge and WON!! Yea, me!!

Thanks for checking out my blog.  Here's wishing everyone a beautifully scrappy day!

Gigglin' Boys Layout

Here are my two youngest boys.  They are crazy together!  Mike and James are 11 months apart, and although they say they can't stand each other, one misses the other when gone!

This paper is from The Paper Loft.  I picked it up last year at Mega Meet -- so I'm looking forward to May 5th when I can pick up some more!!  I then highlighted all the dots and flower middles with diamond Stickles.  (BTW -- I LOOOOOVE STICKLES!!!  I'm a Stickles Junkie!)  The letters are cut out with my Cricut (Cake Basics Cartridge).  I distressed EVERTYTHING and then matted the pictures and added jute where needed.

I was trying to figure out something else to add to this page -- more embellies or something -- but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.  Between the fab paper and the Stickles and jute, it was boyish enough -- even with the flowers!

I started doing more of my journaling via the computer.  I can say a lot more typing than I can writing!!  Thanks for checking out my blog!! I hope to see ya around!!

My Love Word Book -- First Ever!

This is my first word book, and I love it!! Let me tell you ahead of time, it's A LOT of work!! Tons of cutting and trimming and adhesive!!  I used my Pink ATG gun for this one!! It worked perfectly!!

Mr. Wonderful and I have few photos of just the two of us, so I went through the stash of photos I've been downloading and scanning over the years and printed off a few.  (There were actually more than I thought!!)

Of course, I had to put a few on the back, even though none were shown on the sample.  Now I know why...the photos get SCRATCHED!! :-(

I do believe the paper is Bo Bunny and the ribbon was stuff I had at home! I also added the many captions and of course the BLINGAGE!!!

I hope you enjoyed my post this evening!! I really like this blogging thing -- I can "talk" to a TON of people at one time!! :-)

Paint Can Giftie Holders

The weather here in Michigan has been beautiful the last few days.  We'll take what we can get, right?  Well, I've made a commitment to post at least once a day, and with day #2 I'm following through!! Yea, me!!

I made some really cute paint can gift holders for my dad and hubby for Fathers Day last year.  It was a lot of fun and the colors are awesome.

My uncle is restoring my father's 1937 Chevy and it's going to be painted a deep purple.  This was the closest I could find in my stash!! Dad loved it!!

My hubby was thrilled with his gift can!! It was loaded with two beautiful ties!!  The kids and I really enjoyed putting this together for him.

Well, that is it for me tonight.  I've got more blog "schooling" to do tomorrow.  Wish me luck!!

Scrapbook Layouts

Here are several layouts I've been working on over the past few months.  My girlies and I have been spending some great time together scrapping and laughing.  I love the time I spend with them and the inspiration I gain from their constant encouragement.  They're awesome!!

This first one is from the CTMH catalog.  I looove all the buttons!! I'm a blinger and a button lover!! Too bad I didn't have girls, right???

I'm falling in love with sepia and black and white photos!

Of all my layouts, this is my favorite.  Of course, it has my BFF in in with me, my husband!!

Well, that is it for me for this evening.  I want to post more to my blog, so I guess I better get to work!! Have a great night!!

Fun Little Notebook for Friends

Hi everyone!! This is my first-ever blog post!! I'm so excited!! Bear with me as I learn how to post captions, photos, etc.  It's quite overwhelming!!  Okay, on to business...

Here is a little notebook that I made.

My little chickie is cut from Creat-A-Critter, the stamps come from Joy's Life Lots of Pun set, the printed paper is from DCWV Flower Shower pack, solid paper is Stampin Up!, as well as the border punch!  Then a little ribbon, some Stickles (one of my favs!!), and some bling, and my chickie is now complete!! I can't remember where the ovals came from...I can't remember everything, ya know!!

I made a few for my scrapbook friends for tomorrow's scrapbooking excursion!
I plan on posting more as I finish projects.  I have so many in the making it's ridiculous!! I now have some place I can "show off" my accomplishments!!

Well, thanks for reading my first post!!  Have a great evening!!
